Tally and Control
You need to know when the mics are hot. Tally and control gear keeps everyone in sync—no surprises, no embarrassing utterances. Because in live radio, one missed cue can turn into a career highlight for all the wrong reasons. Shhh. We’re on the air.
The Studio Signal Light Gadget has five LED drivers to light up to five different light segments. The front panel has LEDs that correspond to the segment colors; the adjacent switch lets you automatically trigger the lights via rear-panel GPI connections, or trigger each one manually if you like. The Gadget can control all five models of the Studio Signal Light; for smaller Signal Lights, just ignore the unused control sections.
The Mic Tally Gadget can control four mic arm tallies at once. Each position has its own logic connector so you can use your console logic to turn on the lights. Each tally can be red or white. Some engineers will use one color to signify on-air and another color for ready, talk signaling, or some other bright idea. Front panel switches can be used to manually control the tally lights.
The 5-pin XLR topside carries the microphone audio and the signal voltage for the tally light. The microphone signal is passed through to a 3-pin XLR connector on the bottom. Dual logic inputs drive the tally either red or white. Red is usually the color for on-air. White can be used for an alternate signal. Ready light, talkback indicator, phone ringer, pizza delivery. You’ll come up with a bright idea.
Introducing our simplest idea yet: the Button Gizmo. Four avionics-grade, LED illuminated pushbuttons in a powder-coated steel panel. Mounts easily in your countertop for an elegant, finished look. You can use the Button Gizmo with other consoles too. Any console with GPIO logic will easily interface. We include an RJ45 to screw terminal breakout adapter to make it easy to access the contacts.
Active “base” for the new Yellowtec Mic Stand. High performance stereo headphone amplifier. LED illuminated control buttons can be used to activate logic in your console, or can be used to locally control the internal microphone muting circuit. Built-in magnetic disconnector and adapter (included) means no more broken headphones.
