Let’s get it on the air!

As POTS service fades out, the old way of putting phone calls on the air is disappearing with it. The choices have been emulated POTS to keep phone hybrids alive or replacing the whole phone system. But wait, there’s a third choice.

The Phone Gizmo lets you take phone calls on the air without a phone hybrid. It connects a Yealink SIP desk phone directly to your console using clean balanced analog audio. No apps. No drivers. You just plug it in and it works.

TL;DR

    Premium long-life components throughout.

  • USB Phone Gizmo
  • Plug and play

    Class compliant. No drivers needed.

  • Quiet as a mouse

    Galvanically isolated from audio circuitry.

RJ45 audio ports use Studiohub+ format.

  • All included

XLR adapters and USB cable included.

  • Fully balanced

Inbuts and outputs capable of +24dBu.

Because the Phone Gizmo is galvanically isolated (power, ground and data), the audio is clean and clear. No buzz, no whine, no surprises. And since the phone is handling the VoIP side, even wideband and HD voice calls are supported.

Audio connects at nominal +4 dBu using fully balanced analog lines on StudioHub RJ45 connectors. We include StudioHub to XLR adapter cables so you don’t have to rethink your wiring or buy anything else. Just in case you aren’t already using StudioHub everywhere. No judgement.

The Phone Gizmo works with the Yealink SIP T46U. It mounts directly to the back of the phone with a snap-in stand that props the phone up and gives the Gizmo a clean place to live underneath. No rack space. No weird brackets. No Velcro archaeology.

Phones fixed. Now go make some great radio!

Want to get started right away? You can buy the Phone Gizmo on its own for $349 and pair it with your own Yealink SIP T46U and VoIP service. Or, if you’d rather skip the homework, we offer a complete bundle for $699 that includes the Gizmo, the Yealink phone, a phone number, and a full year of prepaid service through Maxxphone. It arrives configured and ready to go. Plug it into your console and you’re on the air.

Pen drawing of dog with lifted ear

Phones are what make radio, radio. Inviting listeners into the show, landing interviews, breaking news. It's the difference between a guy with a stack of records and a station that feels like family. VoIP is upgrading phone tech. With HD Voice, your callers can sound less like a phone and more like a codec. Real low end. Real presence. And with a bit of coordination, important calls can sound like the caller is in the next room. Now, who gets to tell Reed that's not what we meant by a phone drawing?
