Microphone Essentials
Your microphone is your voice. Literally. Whether you’re hosting a show, interviewing a guest, or running the board, everything starts with the mic. We offer a range of microphone essentials—from mute and control buttons to tally drivers to mic processors. And don’t miss the charming new Mic Stand Gizmo.

Meet REbel, the world’s first microphone processor engineered exclusively for the popular Electro-Voice RE20, RE27 and RE320 microphones. We spent months measuring, analyzing and listening until we knew these microphones like the backs of our hands. Then we went to work, creating DSP algorithms that perfectly enhance the unique qualities of these EV mics.

Meet the Mic Drop Gizmo! This simple device mounts near the base of your mic arm. You plug the mic arm cable into the top and there are pass-through connectors on the bottom. It replaces the XLR connector usually mounted at the base of the mic arm. But that red button on the top is a mute “cough” button. Point it out to your studio guests. Let them mute themselves when needed. Your show will sound so much better

The 5-pin XLR topside carries the microphone audio and the signal voltage for the tally light. The microphone signal is passed through to a 3-pin XLR connector on the bottom. Dual logic inputs drive the tally either red or white. Red is usually the color for on-air. White can be used for an alternate signal. Ready light, talkback indicator, phone ringer, pizza delivery. You’ll come up with a bright idea.

The Mic Tally Gadget can control four mic arm tallies at once. Each position has its own logic connector so you can use your console logic to turn on the lights. Each tally can be red or white. Some engineers will use one color to signify on-air and another color for ready, talk signaling, or some other bright idea. Front panel switches can be used to manually control the tally lights.

The Talkshow Gadget adds useful broadcast features to your live mixer. LED illuminated buttons give you instant activation and deactivation of four microphones, allowing you to get the mix right, then leave the faders in place. You also now have speaker volume control and a second input for listening to an external source.

Introducing our simplest idea yet: the Button Gizmo. Four avionics-grade, LED illuminated pushbuttons in a powder-coated steel panel. Mounts easily in your countertop for an elegant, finished look. You can use the Button Gizmo with other consoles too. Any console with GPIO logic will easily interface. We include an RJ45 to screw terminal breakout adapter to make it easy to access the contacts.

Active “base” for the new Yellowtec Mic Stand. High performance stereo headphone amplifier. LED illuminated control buttons can be used to activate logic in your console, or can be used to locally control the internal microphone muting circuit. Built-in magnetic disconnector and adapter (included) means no more broken headphones.
