Angry Audio Announces CallMe Partnership
Angry Audio, the “Broadcast Gadgets” company, has established a partnership with Vortex Communications Ltd., makers of the CallMe family of IP Audio codecs.
“The CallMe product suite is elegant in its simplicity.” said Michael “Catfish” Dosch, founder of Angry Audio. “These are really great products. Low cost, rock solid, amazing sounding and very intuitive. In fact, I was so impressed that I practically begged them to allow me to introduce this to American broadcasters!”
CallMe offers three codec solutions, each optimized for different operational requirements:
- CallMe-T, a small-footprint hardware codec with the highly regarded Opus algorithm, delivers crystal-clear audio via standard internet connections.
- CallMe diRECt (NAB 2020 Radio Product of the Year), a browser-to-browser implementation, delivers 20 kHz bi-directional audio plus a built-in recording function on each end.
- CallMe Click & Connect, an advanced cloud-based solution, allows any remote guest or talent to connect to a hardware IP codec in your studio using only a standard Web browser, live-streaming 20 kHz bi-direction audio.
“A mutual customer in Memphis introduced me to Catfish,” recalls Vortex’s Ian Prowse, “and we hit it off instantly. We began discussing each other’s products and it quickly became clear to me that Angry Audio, with their extensive line of studio problem solvers, would be the perfect company to introduce CallMe to U.S. radio. After all, a high-quality IP Audio codec solution for half the cost is sure to solve a problem for plenty of stations!”
“More talent works from home now than ever before,” notes Dosch. “There’s never been a better time for an affordable, reliable, full-fidelity remote codec solution. We think broadcasters are really going to love the value and flexibility that CallMe delivers.”
Angry Audio will be the exclusive sales and support partner for Vortex Communications‘ CallMe products in North America (USA and Canada). For more information, visit http://www.AngryAudio.com .
